Give us good news!

We're off to the doc, on a very misty morning.

Cor asked "so what will we find out today?". If all goes well, or should I say WHEN all goes well (gotta stay positive) we should see a heartbeat and it should be the right size for 7 weeks along.
I feel so different today than my first prenatal appt in March...I know what to expect and what we should hear from the doc so I'm a little anxious and just praying we don't hear her say the dreaded "hmmmm" (that she said last time when looking at the monitor during the transvaginal ultrasound-it's too small at this point for a regular one outside the belly.
I'll be back with some news soon...

2nd test is VERY positive!

I've been charting my waking temperature, periods, ovulation, and when we get funky fresh. So I have a pretty good idea of the date of conception...July 19-21. That would mean that I'm almost five weeks (with an April due date)!
So based on knowing that the hormone that your body produces when pregnant is supposed to double every day (and thus the lines on the prego strip should get darker), I tested again a few days after the first test...et voila!...I got some very dark lines!

I'm still taking the darker solid lines as a good omen, that this time around it's a stronger pregnancy :)
In other news, I scheduled my first prenatal appt with my OB, for Wed August 28th. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed and talking to the big guy upstairs that at this OB appt there will be a heartbeat! I'll of course let you know how that goes...

Symptoms this week: nothing noticeable yet. I still feel like a totally normal, unpregnant gal, who happens to be 2 1/2 weeks late on her period :) I do have a new little clear bump/skin tag on my arm that I got about 2 weeks ago. I guess skin tags caused by pregnancy are common.

I got those two magical lines again!

I'm starting up my prego blog again. This time though, I've decided I'm going to write more, as a diary, since I feel now that I'll want to be able to look back and see what things happened when. So here we go…
Four months to the day after my full miscarriage (on April 6th), I took a home pregnancy test…and it gave me a big fat positive! The lower test line is more solid this time...I'm hoping that means that it's a stronger pregnancy, that will last (knock on wood). Next week, I'll take another test…if all is going well, the lower line should be darker.

In July, I officially ovulated and felt for the first time that my cycle was back to normal. In late July I noticed one specific thing that could be a pregnancy sign (that I noticed the previous time I was pregnant) but didn't want to get my hopes up too much: a greenish tint to my pee. Turns out it was an accurate sign! :) I haven't really had many other signs though…no sore boobs, nausea, or cravings…yet.
